What Is The Ember Mug Made Of?

The Ember Mug is a battery powered heated coffee mug that keeps your coffee at exactly the right temperature. But what exactly is the Ember Mug made of?

What materials do they use to make the Ember Mug and are they durable and long lasting?

What Is The Ember Mug Made Of?

The Ember Mug is made from 18/8 Kitchen Grade stainless steel with an FDA food grade ceramic reinforced coating so no flavors are imparted into your drink.

My best friend is extremely sensitive to stainless steel imparting flavors into drinks. She hates any mugs, tumblers or bottles that have a stainless steel interior. Even in a blind test she's able to tell which drink has been in a stainless steel mug and which hasn't.

I've tested the Ember Mug with her and she was unable to taste the difference. This tells me that the ceramic lining does in fact work and it tastes just like drinking from a regular ceramic mug.
