We all know drinking more water is good for you and lately I’ve been trying to drink less coffee and energy drinks and more water. While the ideal water intake varies from person to person, staying hydrated should be a priority for everyone.

One of the most effective ways to increase your fluid intake is to always have a bottle of fresh, cold water by your side. No one likes lukewarm water.

Simple Modern water bottles are a cost effective alternative to other branded water bottles and I love their colors and designs.

If you’re wondering how many Simple Modern Water Bottles you should drink each day, you’ve come to the right place.

The number of Simple Modern Water Bottles you should drink each day depends on the size of the bottle and your fluid intake goal. If you want to drink eight cups of water per day, you’ll need to finish four 16 oz bottles, three 22 oz bottles, or two 32 oz bottles.

Below, I’ll show you how many Simple Modern Water Bottles, Mugs, or Tumblers it’ll take to reach your personal fluid intake goal. I’ll also teach you ways to decide how much water you should be drinking on a daily basis.

How Many Simple Modern Water Bottles Should You Be Drinking Per Day?

The number of Simple Modern Water Bottles you should drink each day depends entirely on the size of your bottle and your personal fluid intake goals.

During the summer months, I typically aim for around a half gallon a day from two 32 oz bottles. My kids, on the other hand, usually drink two 16 oz bottles because their goal is only four cups daily.

My daughter is loving her 32 oz bottle at the moment and tries to drink a whole one each day as a minimum but often drinks 1.5-2 bottles each day if it’s hot and she’s being active.

Use the following chart to determine how many Simple Modern Water Bottles, Tumblers, or Mugs you should drink each day to reach your own goals.

How Much Water Should You Be Drinking Per Day?

According to The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine, the average healthy adult can meet their daily hydration needs by simply drinking when they’re thirsty.

Using a national data set, they determined that well-hydrated women consumed an average of 91 oz of water each day and men 125 oz — from both beverage and food sources.

This sounds like A LOT of water to drink and I don’t think I could do that. But luckily a lot of this water intake was from food and beverages other than water (including caffeinated beverages…helloooooo coffee)

But those numbers are just averages.

Those who live in hot climates are likely to need more thanks to increased water loss from perspiration. Those who live in higher elevations may need more because more moisture is lost through normal respiration above sea level.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, those who live a sedentary lifestyle in temperate climates can often get away with much less than eight cups. But I try to get my 10,000 steps in every day and be active with my kids and friends and partners.

There’s really no one-size-fits-all recommendation.

Healthcare Triage does a nice job of summing it up in the video below.
