How Many RTIC Bottles/Tumblers Should I Drink Per Day?

When I first got my RTIC Tumbler, I was a bit skeptical. It advertised all the same features and performance as brands like Yeti that cost nearly twice as much.

Needless to say, I wasn’t disappointed.

I ended up grabbing a few more, for my partners and kids, and they’ve helped us increase our water intake pretty substantially.

I did some research to figure out just how many RTIC Water Bottles we needed to drink each day to meet our goals.

The number of RTIC Water Bottles or Tumblers you should drink each day depends on your daily fluid intake goals and the size of your bottle. Assuming an average target of eight cups a day, you’d need to drink four 16 oz bottles, two 32 oz bottles, or a single 64 oz bottle.

Below I’ll show you exactly how many RTIC Water Bottles you should drink to reach your personal goals and teach you a few tricks to decide how much water you should actually be drinking every day.

How Many RTIC Water Bottles or Tumblers Should You Be Drinking Per Day?

To determine how many RTIC Water Bottles you should drink each day, you’ll need to know what size bottle you have and how much water you aim to drink per day.

RTIC bottles range in size from the kid-friendly 12 oz Cub Bottle to the almost comically large one-gallon Jug (is it even a water bottle at that point?).

How Many RTIC Tumblers Should You Be Drinking Per Day

Maybe you’re like me and love the RTIC tumblers or coffee cups more than the RTIC water bottles. Don’t worry I’ve got you covered too.

I own an 2 RTIC 30 oz tumblers. One old one from nearly 7 years ago that is still going strong! (Can we just pause a moment and let that sink in).

Plus a new, more colorful one that’s only a year or so old. RTIC also have a variety of different tumblers, travel mugs and coffee cups. Below is how many of those you would need to drink each day to reach your water intake goals

How Much Water Should You Be Drinking Per Day?

The amount of water you should drink each day depends on where you live, how active you are, your overall health, your weight, and your age.

  • Your location plays a bigger role in hydration than you may think. A hot, humid climate will make you sweat more, requiring increased intake to make up for the increased fluid loss. Higher altitudes can cause dehydration because more moisture is lost through respiration when above sea level.
  • If you live an active lifestyle, you’ll lose more fluid through perspiration than the average person. Always drink plenty of fluids before, during, and after workouts.
  • If you’re healthy overall, you’re likely to require less fluid intake to stay hydrated. Conditions like diarrhea, fever, and vomiting cause rapid fluid loss. Chronic conditions like diabetes may also affect your required intake. Consult your doctor if you’re unsure.

At the end of the day, the average healthy adult is okay if they make an effort to drink when (or a bit before) they start to feel thirsty. Colorless or light yellow urine is a good sign that you’re on track.

Eight glasses per day is a reasonable starting point, but that may be more than is needed for some and too little for others.

Healthcare Triage did a great job of summarizing in the video below.
